So, I've already failed at not purchasing any books until I cleared most of my reading list. In my defense, these were all bought at a warehouse sale that offered buyers the chance to fill a bag with books for only $10. How was I suppose to refuse?
I showed as much restraint as possible. Splitting a bag with my mother and only getting four books, one of which she recommended for me: Solomon Grundy Was Here by Mordecai Richler. You can expect a review of that book, along with Lawrence Hill's The Book of Negroes and V. C. Andrews's Flowers in the Attic (yes, the book infamous for the... uh... close relationship between its sibling protagonists), some time in the future.
